The Political Accommodation Methodology (PA Methodology) is a practical approach and set of tools for building and sustaining peace. The PA Methodology enables people and their representatives to analyze, design, and implement systems that can accommodate diverse political interests. It advances inclusion and equity in governance systems and political dialogue processes, thus preventing conflict and building peace. The Political Accommodation Methodology is a cornerstone of CDI’s peacebuilding approach. It was developed by CDI and partners and has been tested and refined in Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, and other contexts over the course of 20+ years.
